Woman Discovered Lying At Foot
Of Stairway At House, 618
North Calvert Street

Dr. Anna L. Kuhn, believed to be about 80 years old, was found dead on the third floor of her home, 618 North Calvert street, shortly after 11 P.M. yesterday.

According to police, Clarence Bowen, Negro janitor who lives in a garage in the rear of the North Calvert street address, reported he had not seen Dr. Kuhn for several days. Sergt. Alexander L. Emerson and two patrolmen gained entrance through a window and found the aged woman lying at the foot of a stairway on the third floor. Injuries to her nose indicated she had fallen, although Bowen was held by police for investigation.

Dr. Kuhn was taken to Mercy Hospital, where she was pronounced dead and the body was then taken to the morgue. Dr. James M. Fenton, coroner of the Central district, was notified.
