Notes:Son of William Beckett and Rosina Duvall Beckett. Born in Bladensburg, Prince George’s County, MD ca. 1825. Physician at the Laurel Factory per Thomson’s Mercantile & Profession Directory of Maryland 1851-1852. Listed in the 1870 U.S. Census for Silver City, Owyhee Territory, Idaho, where he died. Parents obtained a license to marry in Prince George’s County, Md on 29 Nov. 1821. Mother died in Baltimore, MD on 30 May 1848 (Baltimore Sun, 6/6/48, p. 2). The Beckett name is usually spelled with the double t. The D in his name is probably for Duvall, his mother’s maiden name.
