    Notes:Funeral services were held yesterday for Dr. James K. Insley, Jr. a retired gynecologist and obstetrician.

    Dr. Insley died unexpectedly last Friday at Fort Howard Veterans Hospital. He was 62.

    Dr. Insley, a native of Baltimore, practiced from 1941 until his retirement in 1967. His office was located at 2200 Mayfield avenue.

    Graduate of St. John’s

    He graduated from St. John’s College, in Annapolis in 1932, and received his degree in medicine from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1937.

    Dr. Insley interned at Maryland General Hospital in 1937 and 1938. He studied one year at Piedmont Hospital, in Atlanta, and was a resident for two years at St. Joseph Hospital here.

    His practice was interupted from 1943 to 1947 by his service in the Army Medical Corps. He was a captain and was stationed at the Veterans Hospital in Alberquerque, N.M.

    Enjoyed fishing, chess

    According to his wife, the former Catherine W. Wallae, Dr. Insley enjoyed fishing on the Chesapeake Bay. She said that he was also an ardent chess player, carrying on a continuous series of games with the same man every Tuesday for fifteen years.

    In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Theresa F< Gilbert and Robin C. Insley; three sons, James K. Insley 3d, Robert W. Insley and Rodney B. Insley, all of Baltimore; his mother, Mrs. Helen H. Insley, and a sister, Mrs. Helen I. Ripple, both of Clinton, Md.

    Dr. Ingram, who was born 78 years ago in Henderson, Ky., was graduated from the Gomeopathic College in Baltimore in 1907.

    During World War I, Dr. Ingram was prepared for overseas duty and was waiting orders for service when the armistice was signed.

    Surviving is an adopted daughter, Mrs. Edgar O. Mansfield; two sisters, Mrs. James A. Priest, of Baltimore, and Mrs. Charles B. Walls, of Chicago.
