Memorial services for Dr. Fred. L. Baber, a retired Baltimore dentist, will be held at 1.30 P.M. Sunday at the chapel of the Veterans Administration Hospital, 3900 Loch Raven boulevard.
Dr. Baber, who was 79, died Saturday at the hospital following an illness of several weeks. He lived at 45 Walker avenue, Pikesville.
Born in West Virginia, Dr. Baber grew up at Round Hill, Va., and later studied dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
Retired in 1962
After receiving his degree in 1919, he established a practice at 2100 West Baltimore street, and practiced at that address until his retirement in 1962.
He was a member of Thompson Masonic Lodge No. 145, Round Hill, and for several years before his death was the oldest member of that lodge. He joined the lodge in 1910.
Surviver include two sisters, Mrs. Helen Thomas, of Round Hill, and Mrs. Myrtle Thompson, of Arlington, Va.

Mrs. Bacon, of Parkville, was 82. She died Saturday at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center after a long illness.
After graduating from the nursing school she became a nurse at the Johns Hopkins Hospital until her marriage to Dr. A.M. Bacon.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Dr. A. M. Bacon, Jr. of Hagerstown; Allan T. Bacon, Dr. Eugene Bacon and John E. Bacon, all of Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Helen R. Hayward, of Baltimore, and eleven grandchildren.
