    Notes: Stricken with a heart attack as he was about to leave his home yesterday morning for his office, Dr. Walter C. Bacon, prominent pediatrician, died three hours later. He was 60 years old.

    Dr. Bacon and members of his family, as was his custom in summer months, had spent the week end at the Bacon ancestral home at Monkton, Baltimore county. Dr. Bacon’s town house is at 425 Winston avenue.

    Medical Degree at U. of Md.
    He was the son of the late Rev. Dr. George C. Bacon, a Methodist clergyman who served as district superintendent of the church in Baltimore. His last pastorate was at Govans Methodist Church. Dr. Bacon’s mother before her marriage was Miss Mary Comptom. The Bacon family is one of the oldest in Baltimore county.

    Following his preparatory education, Dr. Bacon graduated from George Washington University and obtained his medical degree at the University of Maryland Medical School. He was chief pediatrician at the Maryland General Hospital until he was elected a member of its board.

    He also was a member of the Lister Society, American Academy of Pediatricians, the University Club, the Baltimore County Country Club and the Kiwanis Club.

    Funeral Serices at 3 P.M.
    He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Mary Ellice Kinsey, of Montgomery county, and four daughters, the Misses Mary Ann, Jane Ellice, Barbara and Georgiana Cole Bacon, two brothers, George C. Bacon, Jr., and John Bacon, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruther Dunning and Mrs. Lemuel Oliver.

    Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. tomorrow at a funeral home in the 1900 block Eutaw place.

    Mrs. Ellice Kinsey Bacon, 74, of Monkton, Md., wife of the late Dr. Walter C. Bacon, died at her home yesterday after a long illness.

    Mrs. Bacon was born in Howard county. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, My Lady’s Manor.

    She is survived by four daughters, Mary Ann Bacon, Mrs. Jane B. Cole, Mrs. Barbara B. Tarbert and Mrs. Georgiana B. Lee, and six grandchildren.

    Services will be held at 10 A.M. at Monkton Methodist Cemetery.
