    Funeral services for J. Sherman Garrison, Jr. who died yesterday at University Hospital, will be held at 3 PM tomorrow at a funeral home at 1900 Eutaw place. Burial will be in Lorraine Cemetery.

    President of the Potomac Poultry Food Company and the Chesapeake Shell Company, Mr. Garrison was 49.

    A graduate of Baltimore City College and of Marietta College, he was a pilot in World War I. He belonged to Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and Baltimore Lodge No. 210 of Masons.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eloise Peach Garrison, of Annapolis; a son, J. S. Garrison 3d; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Myers, of Frederick, and Miss Barbara Jean Garrison, and a sister, Mrs. Thayer T. Tucker, of Corpus Christi, Texas.

    Funeral services for Dr. Joseph Shermer Garrison, 83, will be held at 10 AM today froma funeral home in the 1900 block Eutaw place.

    Dr. Garrison died Monday at the University Hospital after a three week illness. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton.

    He had practiced medicine in Easton and Baltimore for more than 50 years.

    Dr. Garrison is survived by a son and daughter, Joseph Shermer, Jr., of Baltimore, and Mrs. Thayer Tucker, of Corpus Christi, Texas.

    Notes: Dr. Joseph Edward Gately, member of the medical staff of the Johns Hopkins and St. Joseph’s hospitals, died yesterday afternoon at St. Joseph’s from a heart ailment. He was 60 years old.

    Dr. Gately was taken to the hospital last Tuesday after being stricken at his home, 200 Witherspoon road, Homeland.

    He was born in Baltimore on March 21, 1880, the son of Dr. Michael Gately. He was graduated from the University of Maryalnd Medical School some forty years ago. He served overseas as a captain in the Medical Corps of the Twenty-ninth Division.

    Funeral Wednesday
    He was a member of the Southern Medical Society, the Baltimore City Medical Association and the American Dermatological Association.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 8:30 AM Wednesday at the home. At 9 AM the Rev. John H. Eckensrode, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Govans, will offer a requiem high mass at the church. Burial will be in the New Cathedral Cemetery.

    Dr. Gately is survived by two sons, Joseph Edward Gately, Jr., and Edward Stack Gately.
