ANNAPOLIS, MD., Jan. 21. — Dr. Richard Harwood Green, mayor of Annapolis, who was stricken with paralysis Monday morning, died at 12:30 A.M., aged sixty-four years. He was elected mayor two years ago.
He was graduated from St. John’s College, Annapolis, in 1853, and from the School of Medicine of the University of Maryland in 1858. For many years he was president of the Anne Arundel school board and was secretary of the board of visitors of St. John’s College.
Under Clerks James S. Franklin and Spencer C. Jones he served as collector of the Court of Appeals and was widely known throughout the State. His father, Nicholas Green, was for many years clerk of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. He leaves a widow and four sons and one daughter.

Annapolis, Md, July 19 — The body of Mr. Richard H. Green, son of the late Dr. Richard Green, former Mayor of Annapolis, who died at St. Agnes’ Hospital yesterday, was brought to the home of his mother in Annapolis. His funeral was held from the residence this afternoon, Rev. Joseph P. McComas, rector of St. Anne’s Protestant Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment was in the family lot in the city cemetery. Mr. Green’s death was due to tuberculosis, complicating other maladies. The pallbearers were Messrs Nicholas H. Green, T. Kent Green and John M. Green, brothers of the deceased; Joseph H. Bellis, J. W. Kalmey and Harry Tongue.
