Notes: Obituary:
“Dr. William J. Williams was a well-known practitioner of the Thompsonian
school died suddenly yesterday morning, April 20, 1867 at his residence,
corner of Baltimore and Temple streets, after a few hours illness of
apoplexy. Dr. Williams was highly regarded not only as a physician but as a
citizen. He was for 30 years a member of Washington Lodge No. 1 of the
Independent Order of Odd Fellows and was also a member of the Jerusalem
Encampment of the same order. He was likewise a member of Ottawa Tribe No. ?
of the Order of Red Men. And in all those associations held chief
positions.”
