    Notes: Surgical. — Mr. James Cole, a compositor, residing on Fayette street, near Aisquith, had his right hand badly cut, on Thursday evening, while engaged in uncorking a bottle. Several of the arteries of the hand being severed, it became necessary last evening to take up the radial artery from a point above the wrist, which operation was skillfully performed by Dr. H. P. P. Yeates.
