M.D., University of Pennsylvania, 1809; commenced practice in 1809; Professor of Surgery, Washington College, Baltimore, 1835-37. “A man of scrupulous integrity, high tone, much culture and great gravity and dignity of manner.” Died at “Worsham,” Old Prince Edward Court House, Va., November 22, 1875.
