Baker; M.D., University of Maryland, 1833; settled at Georgetown, 1843; Physician to Georgetown College, 1843; Professor of Pathology and Practice, Columbian College, 1846-59; Vice-President, American Medical Association, 1855; President, Medical Society of the District of Columbia, 1872-73; Consulting Physician, Providence Hospital and Children’s Hospital; President of the Board of Health of Georgetown. Died at Georgetown, August 26, 1884.
