Appointed from Mayrland, Major and Surgeon, Thirty-sixth Infantry, U.S.A., July 10, 1813; disbanded, June 5, 1815; M.D., University of Maryland, 1816; an incorporator of the Medical Society of Maryland, Baltimore, 1817; Corresponding Secretary, Medical and Chirurgical Faculty, 1819; appointed Post Surgeon, U.S.A., December 12, 1820; Assistant Surgeon, June 1, 1821, and held this office until his death.
