Notes: Of Reuben Guilder but little is known. He was surgeon during the Revolution in Haslet’s 1st Delaware Regiment, called the “Blue Hen’s Chickens.” He settled in Baltimore in 1787 and was physician to the Almshouse in 1789. According to Quinan, he died in Baltimore. There is a “Guilder, — Va., 1784.” in the Catalogue of the University of Pennsylvania.
